WHAT IS ROOF CAPPING?
They are the curved tiles that protect the corners and top of the roof where two adjacent sides meet. Roof caps are cemented into place, which is called bedding. A coloured finish layer is then applied on top of the bedding. This process is called pointing. Cracks in the pointing and bedding of the roof capping often cause roof leaks or worse.
WHAT WE DO
A loose ridge cap can be the weak spot that a nasty storm may find and exploit. Once wind lifts one ridge cap, a domino effect can happen and they all can come up. Even if they do not lift off, one loose ridge cap can become a water entry point and cause a lot of damage in your home.
